The episode starts with me SCREAMING IN SHOCK over this whole ass new scene of Men boarding the plane AND REN SEEING HIM OFF LIKE OMG????? THANK YOU FOR THE MISSING CONTENT it just took a whole five seconds and it changed my whole life (is this gonna be resued for Red Crimson? I'm already going crazy). AND ALSO YOSUKE AT THE TOWER, good warming up to what's to come in the next episode and he's drawn so nicely too...

And we got back to Gakko...! HANA PANTING, and overall Hikasa's acting was top notch in this episode. I really didn't think she would pull off Hana's deranged screaming but she's doing great.
We get the cutest Hana faces... I think it's this particular artist that draws him like that, but it's super cute...
The whole episode is so nicely drawn... you know where the budget went to. We even get some cool animation.
The moment Hana starts going berserk and gets all that hand drawn line effects is superb and I wish we could have gotten that effect for yamioni, it's so clean and you can tell the shape apart and also gives the transformation a raw feeling that's fitting.
And we get Naka-oni Hana, ever so suitably named because he's literally inside it lmao. We get the DIE transitions again and they are so cool. The anime is doing a great job at conveying how terrifying Hana's oni are and how poorly he can control them.
And then what??? We're back at the inn?? What??? This isn't in the manga!!!! WE'RE FILLING THE BLANKS AGAIN FRIENDS. I love this. It's just Luca there talking about the FoM, meaning Yohane already went after Hana and that will connect nicely with how he shows up all of sudden later and didn't know about the FoM. In the manga this happens when Gakko is already at the inn and explains further but this way is a lot better pacing for it.
WAIT ANOTHER NEW SCENE?? ALUMI?? We see her either coming out of the public baths (and because of the next scene I initially thought she was leaving the Flower shop but it makes more sense she's done with the bath). This also is a nice addition, like she knows Hana is being a dumbass again somewhere.
AND I'M GETTING BOMBARDED, ANOTHER NEW SCENE?????? WHAT????? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE... STRESSING THE MUNTZERS AS SUSPEC-
I was actually recording the moment and you can hear it escalate from seeing the inn sign and saying "this is not in the manga??" to seeing Black Maiden and screaming violently THIS IS NOT IN THE MANGA?????????????. Rewatching these recording is just so funny.
ANYWAY I LOVED ITTTTTTT I LOVE THEY INTRODUCE ALL THESE CHARACTERS AND FUTURE PLOT POINTS ALREADY THANK YOU ANIME GODS THANK YOU BRIDGE...
Kind of funny the Muntzers were looking at the wall instead of the door or a window or something but anyway fjsdhfsdf I LOVE NEW STUFF I hope they keep adding more things later... more yosukes.... omg the monologue in hell. VIBRATING. br>
And now back to Gakko and Hana THAT WHOLE SHOT OF GAKKO DODGING IS SO COOL gosh Gakko looks so incredibly cute... He had such a lackluster intro in the manga (as many of the characters did) but here his colors and expressions and voice is so soft and likable. ALSO NAMAHA DEEP VOICE.. COOL...

GAKKO'S MAHOU SHONEN TRANSFORMATION
which was probably one of the best moments in the whole series so far MOSTLY BECAUSE IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED AND THE FILLED ONCE AGAIN THE VOID IN MY HEART. PERFECT, JUST PERFECT.
And now we go turbo mode... Hana's screaming when Gakko slashes his leg off, PAIN.... but also wishes they didn't loop the animation or at least made it a bit more interesting.... and didn't make a still screenshot of the moment he starts transforming... sigh...
IN ANY CASE, WE HAVE IKEONI (or ikeoni in training) AND IT WAS SO UNBELIEVABLY COOL AND POWERFUL AND I'VE ALWAYS LOVED IT BUT NOW I LOVE IT EVEN MORE AND WE GET SOME WOOSH BATTLE ACTION. I swear these were some of the most visually uninteresting chapters of the manga for me but it's unironically the best episode yet in the anime which is funny (I could write a whole essay about this but it's not the moment).
