This is long due but I deflated the moment Flowers ended and it's been hard to recover.
But anyway, review of my favorite episode aka YOSUKEYOSUKEYOSUKEYOSUKEYOSUKEYOSUKE.. I won't be sorry for being the screaming pig I was supposed to be all along
We start flying Anderson's plane and oh my god it's so cute how Yosuke squeezes Yabisu trying to find a comfortable position (you wouldn't be complaining if only you weren't a 2m tall monster).
His voice is so cute here (I will be saying this repeatedly) like the way he talks to Anderson, he has so much more color to his voice than I ever imagine and god if I love it. Matsuoka I'm marrying you muah.
His stupid laugh is everything... And his stupid serious look after Anderson mentions Death Zero.
I appreciate the look at young Sakurai while he's telling Hana his story... I'll talk about it in the next episode, but now I understand better what's the point of all this.
Anyway speaking of stupid, THE WAY YOSUKE ENTERS YELLING LIKE HE'S MEGAMIND... He learned from the best villain.
AND HIS STUPID LAUGH AGAIN i'd have it as my ringtone if my phone had sound.
We start the YVS card parade and he's enjoying ot so much while Yabisu is like "dude you're wasting your life way here".
Ah... his shaky voice... candy for my ears.
He's just so whimsical and the way he screams MUMUMYOYAKUMU killed me instantly... and then i descended to the core of hell after Yabisu scolded him and he just whispers so playfully HE'S SO STUPID and I think I said it before but Matsuoka conveys the embodiment of ♪ SO well with him.
I'm so thankful they didn't get rid the moment where he shows off he can see ghosts AND THE TRIANGLE EYES!!!!!!!! HELL YEAS!!!!!!! i wonder if they missed it the first time accidentally... I wonder if there's gonna be any fix for the BD release.... I wonder...
Anyway we get a flashback of the patch village incident again (HI HEBISHIMA) and the sucker talks and looks so almighty . I'm not entirely convinced with having matsuoka voicing his young self but i remember the latam dub and i'd rather have this than That.
Then he uses obelisk and asks Hana if he wants to be his friend :3 like you know this is the normal way of making friends in hell, probably. (I wish the obelisk part was cooler... it felt so static and you couldn't even tell Hana was sent off flying).
And now comes the best part (all the episode was the best part).
Yosuke is once again forcing someone's hand to kill but Anderson hesitates and woops! He ded.
Sakurai shoots him, Yosuke stops it and like the idiot he is he gets way too close to the subject and OFF he goes. His little "ah" when Sakurai grabs his head and aims the gun at his forehead makes me chuckle everytime. You earned that you imbecile. A round of applaude for Sakurai the goat.
By now I'm so exhausted that I forgot Thorim was making an appearance, his voice wasn't what I was expecting (I thought it'd be deeper) but okay.
God this episode is my favorite just like in the manga... thank you bridge for doing it justice. I don't have any braincell left at this point. I rewatched this episode so many times and I made everyone in the household and their mothers watch it too because that's the price you pay for having me around.
